I throughly enjoy you blogpage and it is one of my favorites. In your observations about civilization you note that politicians often vote for war and conflict - but that is how one civilization attempts to impose its own particular and parochial worldview on other civilizations. This however has never suceeded in the broad sweep of human history since civiliation is a syncretic process and never unilateral. On this planet today we continue to harbor different civilizations, not just one human civilization, though our species is doggedly stiving toward that cherished goal. The process is bloody and painful but it is inexorable.
