So a whopping big B-52 bomber leaves a base in North Dakota and lands in Barksdale, Louisiana, with five or six nuclear missiles "mistakenly" mounted on its wings! And this in an air force that "takes its mission to safeguard weapons seriously"?
According to a former B-52 pilot, Barksdales is a jumping-off base for bombers headed to the Middle East. This naturally raises the question whether this plane was headed for a bombing mission in Iran.
Recall that the Russians too have been making gestures threatening the US and its European allies in NATO.
So should we hearken to Bush's tidings of a golden future time, when democracy shall flourish in the Middle East?
