So, here is a perfect example of how equal is the partnership between India and the US.
On July 29th, in the report on the defence deal the Indian government signed with the US war criminal administration, the Times of India quoted an Indian official claiming that the agreement would be "a partnership on mutually respectful terms".
Yet at the first sign of arm-twisting from the US, with Democrat Tom Lantos giving his own version of the "You-are-either-with-us, or-you-are-with-the-terrorists" line, what does the Indian government do? Cave right in, of course, and votes with the war pimps, despite there being barely a shred of evidence that Iran constitutes any kind of nuclear threat at all.
And with 11 countries (including neighbours Sri Lanka and Pakistan) refusing to endorse the US-European troika move to haul Iran before the UN Security Council, we are surely looking like heroic and reliable allies to many whom we call our friends, with our craven and abject surrender to the nuclear hypocrisy of the "international community". All for the sake of arming ourselves to the teeth to fight terrorists in...erm...Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Kashmir...
Now I can feel really proud and revive the old slogan from the late eighties: "Garv se kaho, hum Bhartiya hain!" ("Say with pride, we're Indians!") Quick, get a puke bag, someone!
